Basic Cooking Method (for 100g millet)
- Rinse: Rinse millet under cold water (removes any dust)
- Ratio: 1 part millet : 2.5 parts water
- Boil: Bring water to boil, add millet
- Simmer: Cover, reduce heat, simmer 15-20 minutes
- Rest: Remove from heat, let stand 5 minutes
- Result: Fluffy, soft millet Yield: 100g dry millet = 300g cooked millet
For Porridge
- Ratio: 1 part millet : 3-4 parts water/milk
- Cooking time: 20-25 minutes, stir regularly
